The community of Serra Mesa was developed in the years after World War II with military housing and later single family homes and apartments. Most of the community had been built by 1970. Serra Mesa is located between Interstate 805 and Interstate 15, north of Friars Road and south of Aero Drive. It is a tight knit community with a lot of great amenities near by. Whether you like to go shopping, watch a pro football game, eat some great food, take a quick flight or read a book you have so many great choices right in and nearby Serra Mesa. I have had a chance to spend some time in the neighborhood and the people are all so friendly and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

                                    MAIN ATTRACTIONS:

There are two great malls nearby. Fashion Valley and Westfield Mission Valley are just minutes away from Serra Mesa. They have a great range of affordable to high-end stores.

Montgomery field airport services private, corporate, charter, air ambulance, law enforcement, fire rescue, flight training, and cargo flights. 

Serra Mesa Library is a great place for all ages. It is known for being quiet and clean. Hosts a large amount of community events and delivers Free Wifi for its members!

Swamis Cafe of North Park is off to a Great Start!

There is a new team in town! Let's all welcome the new Swamis of North Park crew! From the second I walked in the door the manager Donnette Corona delightfully greeted me. Many of us who have frequented the other Swamis locations know Donnette to be the fun loving, energized powerhouse of Swamis. She aims to please her customers and typically knows most of them on a first name basis, which makes dining there so much more enjoyable. She walked me through the menu and helped me decide on something new to try. I am partial to the Cali Scramble, but this time I chose the steak eggs benedict. With twelve different eggs benedict variations it was a difficult choice however it was delicious.

They have a lot of new specialty dishes on the menu, which I saw come out of the state of the art kitchen and everything looked amazing. The design of the restaurant is very trendy and welcoming. There is a great patio area, a huge indoor dining area and an upstairs section, which will be open, a little further down the road when their beer and wine license comes in.

Stop in, meet the staff and enjoy a fabulous breakfast or lunch you won’t be disappointed!
